ai....lambat update aku nie.....alhamdulilah berjaya event occupy ini tanpa ada malapetaka yang berat². Perjalanan dari dataran ke membawa ke post office juga ok jerk. Ramai juga untuk pertama kali, dan ramai juga kenalan baru. Aku happy harap dpt jumpa lagi kowrunk semua. berkongsi idea dan berdebat secara sihat.

Aku mengharapkan ada sesuatu perubahan yang akan berlaku jika ia diteruskan kalau tidak banyak sedikit pun aku rasa memadai. :) kita bukan kuasa yang besa nak ubah dunia.... tapi kita mampu ubah apa yang ada disekeliling setidaknya pada diri kita.... ♥

Sinopsis Filem:

Selepas Tsunami (After The Tsunami) oleh Anna Har (36 min)

Pilihan Raya umum ke-12 bukan setakat melibatkan perubahan empat kerajaan negeri atau kehilangan kuasa dua pertiga Barisan Nasional di Parlimen. Ia membawa kepada pelbagai amalan yang tidak wujud dan namkapasing sebelum inin dapat dirasakan oleh rakyat buat julung kalinya. Di negeri Selangor satu badan di bawah Dewan Negeri ditubuhkan untuk memantau perbelanjaan dana awam.

Di peringkat Persekutuan , Parlimen kini nampak lebih serius dengan kehadiran wakil pembangkang. Hari ini, Barisan Nasional yang keras kepala sebelum 8 Mac lalu, juga sudah mula bertutur dalam bahasa prubahan. Bagaimanapun, perubahan yang sebenar bukanlah semudah membuang undi pada pilihan raya.

Kayuh oleh Soh Sook Hwa (20 min)

Kayuh adalah kisah pengalaman 100 orang pengayuh basikal yang berkayuh dari Alor Setar dan JB ke KL selama 16 hari untuk menyebar kesedaran tentang 6 isu-isu utama yang menjadi prihatin rakyat Malaysia terpinggir. Pengarah filem ini, yang juga merupakan peserta dalam kempen ini berusaha memberi makna dari segi kehidupan bagi setiap usul yang dibentangkan dalam memorandum yang diberikan kepada Parlimen pada akhir perjalanan.

Tayangan filem-filem ini akan diikuti dengan sesi perbincangan Q&A.

When I first heard their debut album, there was a strong rush in my blood, the sense of excitement. Being out of norm, this duo instrumental band from Jakarta had making a step ahead with their music deliverance. Focusing on the post metal//post rock genre, adding up with mid gain, warm guitar sound and tight drum work, and pour a nice punk rock touch inside the music. They had recorded two songs for an upcoming split with Aseethe from Iowa tht will be release by cactus records. PAZAHORA

Remember tragedy had became a phenomenon few years back, and this band was one of the few good bands that been formed by taking the inspiration from the music of tragedy. They are still active and getting stronger than before. They have a really tight set. Perhaps you can get a copy of the Pazahora/Ghaust split 7" that had already out during this show!

If you need a wonderful escapism from the generic normal music, then you have to check em out. One man band that throw some hardcore noise sound with real gadget not PC workstation. This is not midi electro type of music but focusing more to noise ala merzbow.

KHAYALL

One of my favourite band that came out within the local scene. This bands features few friends from various band like Quest of Quasar, Relationsheep, Sarjan Hassan, Aghast etc etc. This remind me a lot to the down tune stoner metal band like Facedowninshit, eyehategod or high on fire. Rockish, yet heavy and they stoned you up!

They seldom have a chance to show up in the local show but they will promise serious good shit. Amplifier worshiper, drone, ambient soundscape are some of the perfect word to describe PHJ. And of course the guitar are amplified by one of the most heaviest amplifier ever made. Think Sun O)).

Lensa Srikandi is delighted to present a screening of “Mencari Kartika”, the first documentary feature by Norhayati Kaprawi.

First-time filmmaker Norhayati Kaprawi was inspired to make “Mencari Kartika” after surveys by polling house Merdeka Center found a large majority of Muslims in Malaysia supported the caning of Kartika Sari Dewi Shukarno for consuming alcohol. This documentary explores the Muslims’s perception of ‘justice’ in the context of Malaysia that is lauded for its modern, progressive, multi-racial image.

The Nut Graph’s Jacqueline Ann Surin says the film is important because “it reveals a truth about what made international headlines by letting us in on the private and the political in a way that media reports failed to.” In fact, Kartika herself has endorsed the film, saying that it offers viewers a larger truth about her actions and statements after she was sentenced.

A 30-minute version of the film, co-directed by Norhayati Kaprawi and Ucu Agustin, was screened at the V Women Film Festival in Jakarta in March 2010. Its first Malaysian screening, on 26 May, was met with enthusiasm by the media and the public. So, don’t miss the opportunity to watch this interesting documentary film!

A panel discussion will follow after the screening. With Prof Shad Saleem Faruqi (Law Faculty, UITM), Saadiah Din (practicing shariah lawyer) & Norhayati Kaprawi.
